Integrated Pest Management

Integrated Pest Management is an environmentally friendly, common sense approach to controlling pests. Many factors must be considered in determining the best fit for any insect control tactic within an integrated pest management program including efficacy against target pests, safety to applicators and farm workers, minimal residues at harvest, effects on beneficial arthropods and non-target organisms, environmental persistence and unique mode of action (resistance management).

IPM:

  • Lowers down cost of pest management
  • Is more eco-friendly and sustainable
  • Ensures safety to applicators and farm workers
  • Restricts or eliminates issues related to residues
  • Minimizes impact on beneficial arthropods and non-target organisms
  • Reduces the risk of resistances
